The Insect Expo, or Salon des insectes, happened in Montréal on March 9th, 2024. I attended because I was curious about what would be there and I was hoping to see some cool bugs. There were businesses selling live and preserved insects, spiders, scorpions, as well as reptiles and shrimp. There were also tables with insect-related businesses like a pest control company and a company making pâté out of mealworms.
The Moth Tent
One cool part of the Insect Expo was a tent you could go in that had moths inside. All the moth species were native to Québec. The species were:
- Luna moth
- Polyphemus moth
- Sphinx moth
